A new campaign encouraging Londoners to eat, pace and plan in order to stay safe in London this festive period has launched.

The NHS has launched their winter campaign ‘Help Us Help You know what to do’ designed to help keep you well and help keep our NHS services running well this winter.
The campaign aims to increase peoples’ understanding of the actions they can take to help the NHS help them. This could be visiting the pharmacist at the first sign of illness, managing symptoms at home, getting the flu jab, self-care or using NHS 111 for help.

The Harrow Mencap forum gives people with learning disabilities the opportunity to have a voice and say over issues that affect their lives.
The forum event will address the issue of loneliness for people with learning disabilities and offer help and advice to build and sustain meaningful relationships.

Atrial Fibrillation (AF) Awareness week takes place between Monday 19th – 25th November 2018. AF is the most common arrhythmia (heart rhythm) disorder in the UK, with over 1.5 million people diagnosed with the condition in the UK.
I started taking part in the Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) after speaking with the practice nurse at my GP Surgery as I was concerned about my weight – and I’m glad that I did.
Following a period of ill health a few years ago I had a blood test which showed my blood sugar levels were really high and I was at risk of developing Type 2 diabetes so my doctor suggested a referral to the Diabetes Prevention Programme (DPP).
Yousif Mohammed is originally from Sudan. He arrived in the UK in 2008 as an asylum seeker and was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in 2014.

2019/20 will be the final year of the national transformation plan for young people’s mental health services set out in Future In Mind.
The Harrow CAMHS Transformation Plan is being updated and will shortly be submitted to NHS England. Once assured by NHS England, Harrow CCG, Harrow Council and other local partners, the refreshed CAMHS Transformation Plan will be published on the CCG website in the New Year.

The NHS across North West London is today launching a new mum and baby app – a personal guide for pregnancy, birth and beyond.
The app was developed by mums, midwives and doctors in North West London and charity CW+ to provide women with a single source of trusted NHS information for all their maternity needs.

The North West London Diabetes Transformation Programme is working with the world renowned authors of Carbs and Cals to produce an educational resource specific to the cultural diets of people from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic groups.
