About Harrow and Hillingdon Posture and Mobility Service

The Opcare Posture and Mobility Service based in Harrow and Hillingdon works in partnership with the NHS, delivering a wheelchair service for both children and adults needing long-term postural and mobility support. The service supports patients throughout their pathway and care, from assessment to the provision and maintenance of equipment.

The service is comprised of a team of healthcare professionals looking after each patient – with specialised occupational therapists, rehabilitation engineers and physiotherapists. The team work to ensure patients are as mobile, comfortable and independent as possible.

Personal Wheelchair Budgets

A Personal Wheelchair Budget (PWB) is a national scheme offered to provide a wider choice for those needing to use a wheelchair. This scheme is available through the Harrow and Hillingdon wheelchair service, and is explained to patients during the assessment process. You can read more information about how the scheme works on the Opcare website.
